The Isle of Fern is a storytelling card game for kids ages 8 and up. Each set contains 50 fully illustrated cards, green pens, and paper to record stories. The box is constructed from 1/8” and 1/4” MDF wrapped in book cloth & paper.
I am currently in the process of redesigning the box to increase affordability and portability.
Holding Hands is a modular desk toy made up of laser cut feet, hands, and a variety of other shapes. The pieces all friction fit together and store neatly into a compatible acrylic box fastened by rubber bands.
Brrrg! and its various themes is a toy system concept for children ages 3+. It consists of a hexagonal seat that inverts to become a play set. The seat is hollow to hold the inverted play set and the associated toys.
Additionally each set has a promotional standee that can be printed and assembled with a glue stick and a pair of scissors.
This set of Quarto pieces and the matching board were made using techniques of digital fabrication. The wooden pieces were carved with a CNC router and the acrylic pieces were laser cut. All finishing and assembly was done using hand tools.
I did not create the mechanics of Quarto.
