My VOID series was an exploration in analogue interaction design focused around conversation and its limiting factors.
VOID I isolates two participants in a felt-lined black box where they are to speak to each other without aural or visual noise from their environment. Additionally participants' body language is rendered useless, forcing a more careful examination of facial responses.
VOID II functions similarly but also obstructs participants' vision. Participants each wear a headset and are brought together by a third party who velcroes the headsets together. This close proximity and lack of visual information strips the experience of any biases.
